Another milestone in this harvest season.

Today marks a very important day of grinding-a moment that reflects the past five years of my journey. From feeling uninspired and struggling with the emotions of pushing myself, to learning how to create sounds that stand out rather than just fit in. Along the way, I faced being ghosted by labels and dealing with people who didn’t want to put in the effort to bring real value to the scene.

But finally, I’ve connected with a family that trusted me and helped me understand where I belong-and how to stay true to myself.

The outcome is Lost in Eden-my track signed to one of the most respected Romanian micro house labels, known for building a community of artists who share the same mindset and sound, yet are free to explore within that spectrum.

Lost in Eden marks the beginning of a new era for me-releasing music that truly represents who I am. I love blending balearic vibes with a trippy edge, mixing dark atmospheres with bouncy rhythms that bring a subtle, inside happiness-not in an obvious way, but something deeper.

🏆 Big news! My remix of “Wanna Dance” by Francesca Lombardo on the legendary Echolette Records just won the official remix competition!

For those who don’t know, Francesca Lombardo is a world-renowned electronic music producer and DJ, founder of Echolette and Echoe labels, and a true icon in the techno and underground electronic music scene. Honored to be part of this journey!

Behind the scenes, I traveled from Sahel to Cairo during Ramadan to polish my mix in a professional, acoustically treated studio. The journey was intense-I even had to sleep for 6 hours at a gas station on the foggy highway on my way back! 🚗

Huge thanks to Sharshar, founder of Shagara Records, for helping me gain-stage the track, and to Sentio for mastering it in a top-tier studio. True collaboration makes all the difference!

Rabies is a serious issue that affects our beloved pets. I had a rescue puppy named Bondo2, who was my companion after being saved last year. Recently, I took in another sick puppy who likely had rabies. After a fight with my dogs, Bondo2 began showing aggressive behavior towards cats, which was completely out of character for him.

Despite my efforts to help him, his condition worsened. He became increasingly aggressive, attacking animals and even other pets. This situation escalated to the point where we had to make the heartbreaking decision to put him down, along with the other puppy who showed similar symptoms.

This experience weighs heavily on me, especially as I care for around 150 stray animals daily. While some people in Marina support our efforts to help these animals, others want them removed entirely. Unfortunately, the authorities have not provided adequate support for vaccination campaigns or sterilization efforts.

We need more action from the veterinary authorities to conduct proper vaccination campaigns in Marina, similar to what has been done in Sheikh Zayed.

We managed to vaccinate 45 dogs and cats in the area where the rabid dog was found, but this is just a personal effort.

⚜️ What a wrap for 2024 ⚜️

🪩 Our collaboration with Cosmic Nomads was truly something special. The challenges we faced and how we overcame them made the journey so much fun. The execution was on point, and we were fortunate to have such a beautiful crowd in Dahab on New Year's Eve.

✨ We took walks through the streets, picking up people based on their energy, striking up conversations to ensure they were on the same vibe, and then inviting them to our party. It turned into a gathering of musically open-minded souls dancing until the very end!

🌬️The music ranged from #minimaltechhouse #techhouse #90shousemusic to dark, dancey & exhilarating sounds, creating a smooth atmosphere. The fact that we could squeeze in a live electronic act alongside the most chaotic DJs was pure madness, yet it turned out to be an incredible showcase.

This year marks the fifth anniversary of my decision to step away from the rat race, where everyone is trying to stand out—not because they love what they do, but in search of validation to fill the emptiness inside them with ego boosters and fitting-in strategies that ultimately don’t work.

As a little gift to everyone, I want to share a mix I recorded during the New Year's Eve Cosmic Nomads event. You can find the link in my bio!

Since I let go of all that noise, I’ve become more self-loving, more efficient, and more useful to those around me. This year also marks five years of being fully sober and clean. It’s the first year I was able to save a mother who had breast cancer. I managed to catch her in time and facilitate the surgery she needed so she could go back to breastfeeding her little puppies again.

Boxing has played a significant role in redefining my self-confidence. It has taught me discipline and focus, making me less aggressive towards others. I’ve learned to channel my energy positively, knowing what I’m capable of. Now, I only feel the need to use my strength if someone threatens my family or animals.

I’ve also restarted my event series, which has been challenging, but I’ve learned so much from my past experiences and failures. I’ve figured out how to make the most of what I have without biting off more than I can chew.
So, this time, I want to take a moment to thank myself for leveling up in my self-work. I also want to express my gratitude to everyone who reached out or messaged me to say happy birthday. Each year, the list filters itself more and more, and I find myself surrounded by the real people who genuinely care for me and love me for who I truly am.

Here’s to growth, authenticity, and meaningful connections!

I almost missed my flight, but I made it just in time! As I rushed through the airport, I noticed everyone around me was heading to Umrah, which gave me a comforting feeling that everything would be okay.

I managed to catch a quick 20-minute nap on the flight and woke up next to a talented young musician. We had an insightful conversation about music and careers that truly inspired me.

Today, I want to share one of my secret hacks for genuine happiness. People often ask if I get bored living in Ghost City (Marina), and the answer is a resounding no!

I'm busy doing good deeds, and you should try it in your area too.

First, we prepare food for the stray animals, with Bruce Lee the cat supervising, of course—he gets his treats as taxes on every meal. You can't say no to that cute face!
After saying our prayers, we start our journey.

Our first stop is to check on Shiko, our paralyzed dog. He’s been on medication for over three months, and while all the vets said he wouldn’t get better, we decided to keep giving him his meds. Now he’s feeling better, and we have hope that he might walk again.

Next, we visit a puppy with a broken limb. She’s a strong young lady and, after her meds, she’s walking again without any pain and living a normal life.

We also feed some puppies and an abandoned Persian cat who only prefers high-quality dry food. Some of the animals are traumatized and scared of humans, but we manage to help them feel safe again.

Unfortunately, I couldn't collect all the footage in one video, but I’ll create the main video later, shot in the same cap and t-shirt to show how many stray animals you can feed and give meds to in one day.

Exciting news for Karim Yousry as his remix of “Wanna Dance” by acclaimed electronic artist Francesca Lombardo has won the official remix competition on the prestigious Echolette Records. Francesca Lombardo is a globally recognized producer and DJ, the visionary founder of both Echolette and Echoe labels, and a true icon within the techno and underground electronic music scene. The Echolette team commended Karim’s remix for its exceptional creativity and high production quality and expressed enthusiasm about introducing his work to a broader audience.
